Flight Updates

Are flights currently operating at Hamad International Airport?

Yes. A limited number of flights are operating from Hamad International Airport starting 18 March 2026. These flights are currently operating through an authorised limited corridor approved by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority and other relevant authorities.

These flights do not indicate a resumption of normal operations.

When will normal flights operations resume?

Normal flights operations will gradually resume once Qatar Civil Aviation Authority and other relevant authorities announce the safe reopening of Qatari airspace.

We continue to monitor the situation closely and will progressively expand operations once permitted by the relevant authorities.

Hamad International Airport strictly adheres to international aviation regulations, prioritizing passenger and employee safety above all.

What will happen once the Qatari airspace is reopened?

Once the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority announces the reopening of the Qatari airspace, flight operations are expected to resume gradually.

As we work with airline partners to progressively restore flight operations, please note that not all flights will resume immediately.

We advise passengers to first check with their respective airline for the latest information before proceeding to the airport.

Limited Flight Operations

What is the meaning of a limited temporary corridor?

The temporary limited corridor refers to a restricted airspace arrangement authorised by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, allowing limited flights to and from Doha for passenger repatriation and cargo, while the wider closure of Qatari airspace remains in effect.

Does the temporary limited corridor mean normal flight operations have resumed?

No. The temporary closure of Qatari airspace remains in effect due to the regional situation. Flights will resume once authorities confirm it is safe to reopen.

What are limited flights?

Limited flights are a small number of services, authorised by the relevant authorities to support passengers in reaching their intended destinations.

These flights do not indicate a resumption of normal operations.

Can I come to the airport since limited flights are operating?

Passengers are kindly reminded not to proceed to the airport unless they have a valid and confirmed ticket, as terminal access may be restricted.

What should passengers keep in mind before travelling?

Before travelling, passengers should:

  • Check in online, where available.
  • Arrive at the airport at least 4 hours before departure.
  • Use self service kiosks and baggage drop facilities.
  • Ensure baggage meets airline size and weight requirements.
  • Use e-gates, if eligible.

Could flights be suspended again?

Yes, possibly. Flights may change due to the regional situation and authorities’ decisions, which are beyond our control. Check with airlines for current flight status.
